Utah Trip 21 July - 27 July 2014

Thought I would add the pictures from my trip to Utah with the Stake President’s wife, his son, and sister-in-law Carol, who actually went on to Star Valley to visit another sister who works for the Lincoln County School District.  I actually sat in meetings with her before we ever knew about this mission.  Very small world.
We left Monday around 3 and got into Provo about midnight.  It was a great trip.  Tuesday I was able to go with Shelaine to Primary Children’s Medical Center for Lily’s transfusion.  Arrived at 9 A.M. and left at 4:40 P.M.  Landy and Lily share the same challenge.  Lily was a trooper and so was her mom.
We were able to go out to Lake Point and spend time with John, Jamie, and their kids, which was really fun.  Kaycie at 14 is an amazing artist.  Her attention to detail is absolutely fabulous.  Kellie and Clayton seem to share the same talent.  I wish I had thought to take some pictures of their art work.
Korrie is growing right up as are Shandon and Jessica.  It was very hard to leave them, but they were able to come over Saturday for a little while and pick up a couch and barbeque set.  Jessica was so disappointed to find out that she could not ride home on the couch. ;o}  John and Jamie had everything cinched down tight before they took off and promised to send pictures when it is in place.
One night we went up the canyon for a Ward Party.  That was lots of fun also and I got to go along and just have fun.  Brock got involved in a kickball game and the girls put together some cute little quilt blocks.  There seemed to be plenty of food and lots of fun for everyone.
They have 7 senior missionary couples who serve there, since it is also used for a girl’s camp.  They must keep really busy, every day, all day.
Shelaine made sure I got my shaved ice every day, which I consider a real treat.  She also let me sneak off with the car to get a much appreciated pedicure. ;o}  I know it is a luxury, but it is also very nice to feel so special.
They also surprised with another wonderful present, which is being well used.  I am still a little confused as to how they got that over on me.
Derek had time to take me to his new office/warehouse which is in the process of being remodeled.  It seems like they keep growing out of the places they find.  I met a few employees and got the grand tour. Thanks to Derek for being a great son-in-law and treating Shelaine like a queen.  He sure makes me feel special also. ;o}
I was able to spend the last night with J’Lene and finally get to see her apt. which is quite neat and cozy. Not so long ago, Shelaine, RaDawn, Landy, and Leah did sort of a makeover of the apt while J was at work.  I don’t know what it looked like before, but it looks so neat and cute now.  J seems to have good friends in the couple who share the front part of the converted house, and the common laundry area.
I work this while the pictures were uploading, but I don’t see the other pictures that I took, so I might to figure out where they are and add them to a new post.
I think President Justice wanted me to have a break, so Elder Olson stayed and kept plugging away while I got to go and play for a few days.
We drove back in a bad storm and Elder was pacing in the parking lot when we drove up.  I am not sure he has ever done that.  I think he missed me.   I know I missed him.
I will try and find the other pictures and get them up on the blog.
